Voices of MAS - Town of Conetoe

In this video, leaders from the Town of Conetoe share how a change in technology helped strengthen their financial operations and set the town on a better path.

Former town clerk and finance officer Kelly Hunter and mayor and town manager Delane Bryant reflect on the challenges they faced with a system that was not working. Both describe a period when processes were difficult and the town needed a better solution.

Through the Municipal Accounting Services (MAS) software conversion program, Conetoe transitioned to Black Mountain Software, a system designed for small local governments. Along the way, they received hands-on support and guidance, including access to an accounting mentor.

Hunter explains how the new system and responsive support gave her the tools she needed to serve the town effectively. Bryant highlights the professionalism and encouragement they experienced throughout the process.

Today, Conetoe is in a much stronger position with reliable systems and support in place. The MAS software conversion program continues to help towns modernize their financial systems and build a more stable future.
