Description

Under The Direction Of The Town Clerk, Performs Highly Visible, Responsible, Administrative, And Professional Work In Support Of The Day-to-day Operations Of The Town Clerk’s Office. Independently Performs Advanced Administrative Work In Support Of The Senior Leadership Team And Town Council. Work Requires High Attention To Detail And Will Include A Substantial Amount Of Public And Inter-Department Contact At The Professional Level. Ability To Adapt To Emerging Strategies While Ensuring Compliance With State And Local Law Is Required. As Such, Considerable Tact And Courtesy Are Required In Dealing With The Public And Staff. Work Is Performed Under The General Supervision Of The Town Clerk But Independence In Work And Key-decision Making Is Expected. The Deputy Town Clerk Serves As The De-facto Town Clerk, In The Town Clerk’s Absence.

Qualifications

High School Diploma Or GED Is Required. Associate Degree In Business Administration, Communication, Or Related Field As Approved By Human Resources Is Preferred. Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Communication, Or Related Field As Approved By Human Resources Is Preferred. Notary Public Is Required Or The Ability To Obtain Within 6 Months. Municipal Clerk Certification (National & State) (Preferred).

Compensation

$51,102.00 - $81,764.00 Annually
