I would like to serve in a leadership position at the League to help strengthen collaboration among North Carolina’s cities and towns and ensure we are prepared for the challenges and opportunities ahead.

I have many years of experience in government, including serving as Budget Director, Assistant City Manager, City Council Member, and now Mayor.
My experience has given me a strong understanding of local government operations and a commitment to supporting strong, growing communities.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Queens University of Charlotte and a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I have remained actively engaged in community and civic efforts focused on economic mobility, neighborhood development, and strengthening opportunities for residents across our city.
