Description
The Town Of Lake Waccamaw Has A Full-time Vacancy For The Position Of Fire Chief. The Department Is A Combination Of Paid Staff And Volunteers, Maintaining Two Stations. Position Works Under The Town Manager And Is Essential During Emergency Situations.
Qualifications
Requirements Include A Bachelor’s Or Associate’s Degree With Coursework In Fire Science From An Accredited University Or Community College; And Supervisory Experience In Fire And/or Emergency Management. Supervisory Experience Working With Volunteer Fire Departments Is Preferred.
Required Certifications: Firefighter II; Fire Officer I; NC EMT- Basic Credential; NC Hazardous Materials Level I Responder; Chiefs 101; NIMS ICS 100, 200, 300, 400, 700, And 800 Courses; NC Emergency Vehicle Driver Certification; And A Valid NC Class B Driver’s License.
Compensation
Salary Will Be Determined Based Upon Experience.
