Description
The North Carolina League Of Municipalities (NCLM) Is Seeking A Graphic Designer I To Join Our Strategic Communications & Member Engagement Team. You Will Be Reporting To The Sr. Digital Design Manager And Working With Our Other Team Members, Assisting With A Wide Variety Of Design And Marketing-related Projects Across Digital And Print Media. Successful Candidates Will Need To Work Well Within A Collaborative Team Environment, Take Initiative, Deliver Professional And Creative Ideas That Elevate The League, And Show Amazing Attention To Detail.
Responsibilities:
- Create Graphics, Templates, And Layouts For Printed Marketing Materials, Digital Publications, Presentations, Infographics And Reports, Social Media And Websites, Etc.
- Maintain Brand Guidelines And Enforce Adherence Across The Organization And Among Partners.
- Maintain Stock Images Library And Subscriptions.
- Perform Retouching And Manipulation Of Images As Needed.
- Assist With Design And Development Of Promotional Materials/marketing Giveaways.
- Maintain Internal Document Library, Coordinating Reorders And Associated Content Updates.
- Prioritize And Maintain Multiple Projects Within Design Specifications And Budget Restrictions.
- Contribute To Website Content Management, Including Routine Updates And More Substantial Design Efforts.
- Contribute To Team Efforts By Accomplishing Tasks As Needed.
- Coordinate Across Various League Departments To Achieve Project Successes.
- Collaborate With Outside Agencies, Publishers, Printers, Member Cities And Towns, Partnering Organizations As Necessary.
The League Has A Hybrid Work Environment, Which Requires Two Days In-office Work And Up To Three Days Remote Work. Full-time Position, 37.5 Hour Work Week
Qualifications
Graphic Design Assistant Qualifications:
- Associate’s Or Bachelor’s Degree In Graphic Design Or Related Field 2-5 Years’ Experience As A Graphic Designer Compelling Portfolio Of Work Over A Wide Range Of Creative Projects.
- Knowledge Of Layouts, Graphic Fundamentals, Typography, Print, And The Web. Excellent Eye For Detail.
- Proficiency With Adobe Creative Suite, Including Photoshop, InDesign, And Illustrator. The League Also Uses Canva, And Microsoft Office Suite, So The Ability To Manipulate Those Systems To Create Templates And Designs Is A Plus.
- Working Knowledge Of Web-based CRM Platforms Like Umbraco, Wordpress, Etc.
- Understanding Of Marketing, Production, Website Design, Corporate Identity, Product Packaging, Advertisements, And Multimedia Design.
- Ability To Take On Assigned Projects Through The League’s Ticket System As They Are Assigned With Limited Direction.
- Excellent Time Management Skills And The Ability To Meet Deadlines And Switch Gears Quickly.
- Ability To Work Collaboratively With Team Members, Including The Ability To Both Give And Receive Constructive Criticism.
