A GREAT PLACE TO WORK AND LIVE, CREEDMOOR HAS A POPULATION OF 4600 RESIDENTS AND IS LOCATED IN GRANVILLE COUNTY, NC APPROX 20 MILES N OF RALEIGH AND RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK. THE CITY EMPLOYS 36 FULL AND PART-TIME STAFF, INCLUDING 2 SUPPORT STAFF IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, AND IS POISED TO EXPERIENCE MORE GROWTH. THE CITY’S ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR IS A SEASONED PROFESSIONAL WHO MANAGES MULTIPLE AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY INCLUDING SERVING AS THE HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER, SUPERVISING THE PROPERTY AND WORKER’S COMP INSURANCE PROGRAMS, DIRECTING THE RISK MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, REGULATING INTERNAL ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS, AND OVERSIGHT VENDOR CONTRACTS. THE POSITION ALSO ASSISTS THE MANAGER IN DEVELOPMENT AND COORDINATION OF SPECIAL PROJECTS. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE A PROVEN RECORD OF SUCCESS IN LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES WITHIN A PUBLIC OR PRIVATE SECTOR ORGANIZATION. THE ASD IS A PROGRESSIVE, FORWARD-THINKING LEADER WITH EXCEPTIONAL PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS WHO CAN MANAGE CONFLICTING PRIORITIES AND MAINTAIN ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE WHILE INCORPORATING INNOVATION AND CREATIVITY INTO ASSIGNED AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY. REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, OR A CLOSELY-RELATED MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, AND FIVE YEARS OF PROGRESSIVELY RESPONSIBLE HUMAN RESOURCES EXPERIENCE INCLUDING IN A SUPERVISORY ROLE, OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE; IPMA-SCP, SHRM-SCP, OR SPHR HIGHLY DESIRED. NC NOTARY PUBLIC DESIGNATION PREFERRED. SALARY WILL BE BASED UPON THE EXPERIENCE OF THE SELECTED CANDIDATE; STARTING SALARY IS EXPECTED TO BE $53,500 - $61,000.
