SALARY HIRING RANGE $56,000 - $68,000 DOE DESCRIPTION A GREAT PLACE TO WORK AND LIVE, THE CITY OF CREEDMOOR HAS A POPULATION OF APPROXIMATELY 4600 AND IS LOCATED IN GRANVILLE COUNTY, NORTH CAROLINA APPROXIMATELY 20 MILES NORTH OF RALEIGH AND RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK. THE CITY IS POISED TO EXPERIENCE GROWTH WITH TWO HOUSING PROJECTS CURRENTLY UNDERWAY AND THREE CAPITAL PROJECTS IN VARIOUS STAGES OF IMPLEMENTATION (PARK IMPROVEMENTS, SIDEWALK/GREENWAYS, AND RENOVATION OF THE EXISTING SENIOR CENTER/CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW COMMUNITY CENTER). THE CITY IS SEEKING A SELF-STARTER TO PLAN, DIRECT, AND SUPPORT MUNICIPAL STREET & STORMWATER OPERATIONS, ICE/SNOW REMOVAL OPERATIONS, AND FACILITIES/GROUNDS MAINTENANCE; MAY ALSO PERFORM OPERATION OF CONSTRUCTION AND OTHER MUNICIPAL EQUIPMENT. THIS IS A DEPARTMENT HEAD POSITION AND INCLUDES RESPONSIBILITIES FOR CONTRACT MANAGEMENT, CONSTRUCTION PROJECT OVERSIGHT, SUPERVISION OF 4 FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES, AND BUDGETING. MUST BE ABLE TO COMMUNICATE EFFECTIVELY AND ADDRESS CONCERNS OR ISSUES FROM THE GENERAL PUBLIC, ELECTED OFFICIALS, AND OTHER REGULATORY AGENCIES. THE POSITION DOES NOT MANAGE WATER/SEWER OPERATIONS AS THE SOUTH GRANVILLE WATER & SEWER AUTHORITY (SGWASA) PROVIDES THOSE SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF CREEDMOOR. REQUIREMENTS REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE GRADUATION FROM AN ACCREDITED COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY WITH A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN PROJECT MANAGEMENT, BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, OR RELATED FIELD, AND CONSIDERABLE SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE IN THE PUBLIC WORKS FIELD; OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE.
