As Part Of Our Dedication To Excellence, We Are Seeking A Skilled And Motivated Individual To Join Our Finance Team As A Finance Specialist I / Customer Service Representative.

Position Summary: The Finance Specialist I / Customer Service Representative Will Play A Crucial Role In Supporting The Financial Operations Of The Town Of La Grange. This Position Involves Cash Handling, Processing, Balancing, And Providing Excellent Customer Service Both In Person And Over The Phone. The Finance Specialist / Customer Service Representative Will Also Assist In General Administrative Duties As Needed.

Key Responsibilities: Perform Cash Collections And Ensure Accurate Processing And Balancing Of Transactions. Provide Exceptional Customer Service To Residents Both In Person And Over The Phone. Assist In Creating Utility Service Orders And Establishing New Accounts. Perform Various Administrative Tasks To Support Office Staff. Maintain Compliance With Established Municipal Standards, Local Ordinances, And Nc General Statutes. Utilize Ms Excel And Word For Various Financial And Administrative Tasks. Collaborate With Team Members To Ensure Efficient Financial Operations. Stay Updated On Relevant Laws, Regulations, And Best Practices In Municipal Finance.

Qualifications: High School Diploma Or Equivalent; Additional Education In Finance Or Related Field Is Preferred. Previous Experience In Cash Handling, Processing, And Balancing Is Required. Strong Customer Service Skills With The Ability To Communicate Effectively Both Verbally And In Writing. Proficiency In Ms Excel And Word. Experience In Utility Or Local Government Customer Service Is Preferred. Familiarity With Municipal Accounting, Financials, And Billing Systems Is A Plus. Valid Nc Driver's License Is Required.
