Job Summary: Serving At The Pleasure Of The Board, The Authority Attorney Is Responsible For Providing CFPUA With Highly Professional Legal Guidance Overseeing The Legal Affairs Of The Authority While Supporting The Board's Strategic Plan And Authority Mission. This Position Reports To The CFPUA Board And Supervises The Deputy Authority Attorney And The Real Estate Manager Within The Office Of The Authority Attorney, Which Is An Autonomous Component Of The Department Of Administration. Education, Experience, And Other Requirements: Requires Juris Doctorate From A Law School Accredited By The American Association Of Law School. Licensed To Practice Law By The North Carolina State Bar. Minimum Of Five (5) Years Of Increasingly Responsible Professional Legal And Supervisory Experience. Preferred Emphasis In Environmental Issues, Public Works, Water/Wastewater, And/or Municipal Practice. Strong Analytical, Negotiation, And Communication Skills. Proven Ability To Work Effectively With A Governing Board And Cross-functional Teams.
