This Position Supervises The Post-Construction Group Within The Storm Water Services Surface Water Quality And Environmental Permitting Program Within The Regulatory Division Of Charlotte Storm Water Services. This Group And Is Primarily Responsible For Protecting And Improving Surface Water Quality Within The City In Compliance With State And Federal Laws. This Position Is Responsible For Providing Technical And Programmatic Leadership To Internal And External Clients Through Administration Of The Post-Construction Stormwater Regulations And Other Stormwater Regulations Within The City Of Charlotte Code Of Ordinances. This Position Includes Leading And Supervising A Team Of Five Surface Water Quality Professionals Responsible For Implementing The City’s Post-Construction Stormwater Programs And Interpreting Ordinance Language To Make Decisions Which May Impact Land Development, The Environment, And The Economy Citywide. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION • Eight Years Of Experience In A Field Addressing Ordinance Related Issues Such As Land Development Practices, Storm Drainage Design And Performance, Stormwater Control Measure (SCM) Design And Maintenance, And Ordinance Enforcement And Management. • Prior Municipal Policy Implementation, Engineering Design, Or Regulatory Review Experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s Degree In Civil, Environmental, Biological, Or Agricultural Engineering Or Closely Related Field And Five Years Of Related Work Experience. • PE License Or Ability To Obtain NC PE Within 1 Year.
