The Town Of China Grove Is Currently Seeking A Full-time Finance Director. The Responsibilities Of This Position Involve Performing Professional Work In Planning, Organizing, And Directing The Financial Activities Of The Town, As Well As Other Related Tasks As Required. The Work Entails Establishing Financial Policies And Goals, Managing Accounts Payable And Receivable, Overseeing The Disbursement And Accounting Of Municipal Funds, Maintaining Payroll Records, Preparing Monthly, Quarterly, And Annual Reports, Collaborating With Staff And The Governing Body To Develop Operating And Capital Budgets, And Providing Financial Updates To The Governing Board. Additionally, The Finance Director Will Be Responsible For Managing All Town Revenues, Assisting Auditors During The Annual Audit, And Preparing Budget Amendments And Journal Entries. A Thorough Knowledge Of North Carolina General Statutes And Ordinances Governing Municipal Financial Practices And Procedures, Including Municipal Accounting And Budgeting, Is Essential For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Degree In Accounting, Finance, Or A Related Field, Along With A Minimum Of Three Years Of Experience In A Local Government Setting, Or An Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience. Certification As A Local Government Finance Officer Is Preferred. The Hiring Range For This Position Is $75,000 To $105,000, Depending On Qualifications.
