The Town Of Aberdeen Is Seeking A Dedicated Candidate To Fill A Full-time Facilities Maintenance Supervisor Position. This Position Is Responsible For Performing Semi-skilled To Journey Skilled Trades And Overseeing Varied Contractors Performing Repair And Specialized Maintenance Of Facilities Such As HVAC, Carpentry, Roofing, Electrical, Plumbing, Masonry, Painting, Etc. An Exciting Opportunity Exists For This Position Since It Is A Fairly New Position And The Final Candidate Will Have The Opportunity To Provide Critical Input On Establishing A Maintenance Schedule For Town Facilities And Will Oversee And Develop A 5-year Capital Plan For Maintenance For Town Facilities. Position Is Responsible For Supervising And Directing The Work Of Two Full-time Custodian/maintenance Positions As Well.
Requirements: High School Diploma Supplemented By Coursework In Varied Technical Or Trade Skills To Include Work Experience In Facility Or Building Maintenance With Some Journey Level Experience In The Varied Building Trades; Or An Equivalent Combination Of Education And Experience. This Position Will Require Above Average Abilities To Build Interpersonal Relationships, Exhibit Excellent Oral And Written Communications, And A Good Working Knowledge Of The Construction Industry. The Successful Applicant Must Be Able To Successfully Pass A Pre-employment Drug Screen, Background Investigation, Credit Check, And Fingerprinting At The Police Department. Experience In Supervision Preferred. Ability To Read And Understand Blueprints And Wiring Diagrams Of Buildings Preferred.
Hiring Range: $49,260 - $55,000 Depending On Qualifications, With Excellent Benefits Package Including 5% 401-k Contribution, Local Government Employees Retirement System Membership, Paid Medical, Dental And Life Insurance, 12 Paid Holidays + Paid Birthday Day Off, Vacation And Sick Leave, And Annual Longevity Payment.
