Performs Intermediate Paraprofessional Work Administering And Maintaining Assigned Benefit Programs, Overseeing The Human Resources Information System (HRIS); Does Related Work As Required. Work Is Performed Under The Regular Supervision Of The Director Of Human Resources. Administering Assigned Benefit Programs; Overseeing The Maintenance Of The Human Resources Information System (HRIS); Maintaining Files And Records; Verifying Records; Preparing Reports. (The Following Tasks Are Intended Only As Illustrations Of The Various Types Of Work Performed. The Omission Of Specific Duties Does Not Exclude Them From The Position If The Work Is Similar, Related, Or A Logical Assignment To The Position.) * Oversees The Preparation And Maintenance Of Human Resources Information System (HRIS) And Benefits Entries And Changes; Enters And Updates Employee Data In HR Information System (HRIS). * Oversees Benefit Enrollments And Processes Benefit Changes. * Handles Benefit Related Inquiries And Disseminates Benefit Related Information. * Assists In The Coordination Of Recruitment Processes; Assists With The Coordination Of Recruitment Advertisements For Position Vacancies. * Assists With Conducting Or Acquiring Background Checks And Employee Eligibility Verifications. * Performs Tasks Required To Administer And Execute Human Resources Programs. * Responsible For The Maintenance Of Organizational Charts. * Serves As First Level Technical Support For Employee Self Service Website. * Reconciles Insurance Bills And Submits Invoices For Payment. * Performs Related Tasks As Required. General Knowledge Of The Philosophies, Principles And Practices Of Public Personnel Administration; General Knowledge Of The Organization And Administration Of Municipal Government; Ability To Present Ideas Effectively, Both Orally And In Written Form; Ability To Prepare And Maintain Detailed And Technical Records; Ability To Research, Collect, Organize And Analyze Data, And To Prepare Technical Reports And Recommendations; Ability To Interpret And Apply Policies And Procedures; Proficiency In Microsoft Office Is Required; Considerable Experience Utilizing A Human Resources Maintenance System (HRIS); Ability To Perform And Organize Work Independently; Ability To Establish And Maintain Effective Working Relationships With Other Departmental Officials, Supervisors, Associates And The General Public. Any Combination Of Education And Experience Equivalent To Graduation From An Accredited Community College With Major Course Work In Human Resources Management Or Related Field And Considerable Experience Utilizing A Human Resources Maintenance System (HRIS); Considerable Experience In Benefits Administration And Performing Tasks Required To Administer And Execute Human Resources Programs.
