The Town Operates Under The Council/Manager Form Of Government With A Mayor And 5-member Council. This Progressive Group Is Focused On The Future Of Boiling Springs And Committed To Visions Like The Downtown Master Plan And Forthcoming Park Master Plan And Land Use Plan Update. The Ideal Candidate Will Have Managerial Experience Working In Local Government And Be An Energetic And Facilitative Leader With Excellent Communication Skills, Strong Interpersonal Characteristics, And Solid Land Planning And Decision-making Abilities. Community Engagement Is Key In This Role. The Community Is Involved And Respectful Of The Governmental Process As Long As They Are Kept Informed.
Responsibilities Include Managing A $3.3 Million General Fund And A $2 Million Water/Sewer Fund, Ensuring Services Are Provided At The Highest Level Of Quality, Managing Over $700,000 In Awarded Grants, Supervising 29 Full-time Employees, And Overall Administration Of Town Government In Accordance With Council Policies And General Statutes.
Requirements Include A Bachelor’s Degree In Public Administration Or A Related Field, Master’s Degree Preferred. Salary Starts At $95,000 And Is Negotiable DOQ.
