NEW SALARY MAX - Vance County (County Seat – Henderson, NC), An Economic Hub Just North Of Raleigh-Durham And Home To One Of The Largest Lakes In The Southeast, Is Seeking A County Manager Who Is A Strong Advocate And Consensus Builder, One Who Is Skilled In Navigating Different Opinions And Bridging Gaps To Unite A Community And Organization Around A Common Vision. Reporting To A Seven-member Board Of Commissioners, The County Manager Will Develop And Manage The County’s Adopted FY General Fund 23-24 Budget Of $57.5M, Which Is Supported By A Steady Property Tax Rate Of $.89 For Each $100 Of Assessed Valuation While Leading A Team Of 375 Across 22 Departments. Qualifications: A Bachelor’s Degree In Public Or Business Administration Or A Closely Related Field Is Required; A Master’s Degree In Public Or Business Administration And/or ICMA Credentialed Management Is Preferred. A Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A County Manager; 5 Years’ Experience As A Deputy County Manager Or Comparable Experience At Other Government Levels; Or At Least 5 Years Of Senior-level Management Experience In Public Or Business Administration Is Required. Experience In NC Local County Government Is Preferred. Salary And Benefits: The Hiring Range For This Position Is Up To $185,000. The Starting Salary Is Based On Experience And Qualifications.
