Building Codes And City Of Greensboro Ordinances. This Employee Will Verify The Completeness And Accuracy Of The Permit Submittal, Investigate The Conditions Of The Existing Buildings, Advise Designers With Regard To Code Requirements And Methods Of Compliance, Check Construction Documents For Code Compliance, Make Interpretations Of The Code, Report The Approval Or Rejection Of Proposed Design To Permit Applicants And Their Design Teams, And Issue A Permit As Appropriate. This Individual Should Exhibit Strong Communication Skills, Both Verbal And Written, To Prepare Correspondence And Reports. The Employee Should Possess The Ability To Learn New And Proprietary Computer Applications For Plan Review Tracking, Permitting, And Building Inspections And Should Be Able To Use Microsoft Office Suite Software And An Electronic Plan Review Application, Such As Bluebeam Revu. This Position Will Also Serve As Backup For The Electrical Inspections Section. The Physical Duties Include: Walking, Standing, Sitting, Bending, Reaching And Kneeling, Stooping, Lifting Up To 25lbs, And Other Activities Associated With The Primary Responsibilities.
