This Position Is Responsible For The Review, Inspection And Enforcement Of All Codes And Ordinances Relating To Residential And Commercial Construction And Enforcement Of The General Town Code. Examples Of Work Performed May Include Plan Review, Conducting Field Inspections, Site Visits, Interaction And Communication With Contractors, Developers, The Public And Property Owners, Completion And Filing Of Reports, Coordination With Other Town Departments And The Department Of Insurance As Necessary, And The Initiation Of Compliance And Enforcement Actions. Position Will Frequently Conduct Field Inspections Of Properties And Vehicles Within Town Limits And Report Possible Violations Of Town Ordinances Such As Overgrown Grass, Junk And Abandoned Vehicles, And Right-of-way Obstructions. Must Possess A Valid NC Driver’s License. Building Inspection Level I Certificates Are Preferred, But Not Required. Must Have The Ability To Obtain Building Inspection Level I Certificates Within Two Years.
