Pender County Is Located In Southeastern North Carolina In The Wilmington Metropolitan Area. This Position Is An Essential Part Of The Management Team And Reports To The County Manager. The Successful Candidate Will Provide Administrative Support To The County Manager And The Pender County Board Of Commissioners. Duties: • Facilitating Notices Of Meetings, Taking, And Maintaining Minutes Of All Meetings, And Preparing Agenda Packets. • Serve As The Custodian Of County Records. • Provide Recruitment For County Boards, Commissions, And Committees. • Provide Customer Service For Service Inquiries. The Idea Candidate Will Demonstrate Strong Interpersonal And Communications Skills; Be Both Self-motivated And A Logical Thinker; Possess A Team Mindset And Local Government Experience And Knowledge; Display Strong Customer Service And Public Interaction Skills; And Have A Strong Proficiency In Microsoft Office Programs. Education/experience: Any Combination Of Education And Experience Equivalent To Graduation With An Associate Degree (preferred). Three Or More Years Of Local Government Experience Is Desired. The Ideal Candidate Will Already Possess A NC Certified Municipal Clerk Certification OR Must Be Willing To Begin Training And Obtain Certification. Possess Or Obtain Notary Public Within 6 Months. Salary: Dependent Upon Education And Experience. The Minimum Starting Salary Is $47,383, With A Full Benefit Package. This Position Is Open Until Filled.
