TOWN CLERK/FINANCE OFFICER – Warsaw, NC (pop. 2,683) The Town Of Warsaw Is Seeking Applicants For The Position Of Town Clerk/Finance Officer. Responsibilities: Performs All Duties Of Town Clerk As Required By NC General Statutes And Town Charter. Provides Administrative Assistance To The Town Manager And Board Of Commissioners; And Serves As Custodian Of All Official Town Records, Documents, And Contracts. Directs The Overall Financial Management Functions Of The Town To Include General Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Receivable And Payable, Revenue Collections, And Assistance With The Annual Audit. Work Is Performed Under The Supervision Of The Town Manager. Position Requires Superior Organizational And Writing Skills, And Ability To Communicate Effectively With Citizens, Staff, And Elected Officials. Requires Combination Of Education And Experience Equivalent To Five Years Responsible Administrative Experience In A Professional Setting. A Bachelors' Degree From An Accredited Community College With Major Course Work In Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Paralegal Sciences, Office Management, Or Related Field Required. Certified Municipal Clerk Preferred, Or Ability To Obtain Certification. Also, Candidate Should Be Actively Commissioned As A North Carolina Notary Public Or Be Able To Obtain Commission Within One (1) Year From Hiring. Must Be Able To Be Bonded.
