POSITION TITLE: Grants Manager JOB SUMMARY: Supervise Grants And Compliance Functions And Requirements Of The Authority REPORTS TO: Director Of Finance DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: · The Grants Manager Is Responsible For The Preparation, Administration, And Oversight Of Grants And Associated Projects · Responsible For Grant Writing And Milestone Reporting And Updates · Serve As A Liaison For Grant Project Managers And The Finance Department · Prepare All Local, State And Federal Assistance Grant Applications For Review And Submission · Review, Monitor And Track Compliance On Grant Contracts And Provide Corrections As Needed To Ensure Financial And Grant Compliance · Present Findings, Problems And Status Updates To The Director Of Finance And Other Leadership Team Members, As Required · Submit Budget Revisions, Amendments, And Extensions On Local, State, And Federal Contracts In A Timely Manner · Generate Timely And Accurate Analysis And Reports For Submission To NCDOT, FTA, And Other Agencies · Assist Departments With Financial Assessments Of Grant Projects · Maintain Official Grant Files, Records, And Supporting Documentation Related To Federal, State, And Local Projects · Participate In The Reporting, Planning, Development, And Implementation Of New Programs Associated With Reimbursable Projects, New Service Initiatives, Special Projects, And Demonstration Programs · Assist With The Development And Maintenance Of Procedures And Guidelines For Grants Administration · Work In Partnership With The Director Of Finance And Staff To Develop Control Systems For Budgeting And Accounting For Capital Projects · Responsible For Handling All Related Job Responsibilities And Managing Records In Compliance With Cape Fear Public Transit Authority Policies And Procedures QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s Degree From An Accredited Four-year College Or University In Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, Or Other Related Field · Minimum Of Two Years Work Experience In Project Budgeting And/or Grants Administration Strongly Preferred · Knowledge Of Principles And Practices Of Governmental Budgeting A Plus · Must Possess Valid North Carolina Driver License · Pre-employment Background Check And Drug Screen Required SKILLS REQUIRED: · Proficiency In Using Computer Systems And Software Applications Associated With Performance Of Assigned Work Is Essential. Basic Problem-solving Skills Associated With Software Applications Used Is Expected. · Must Provide Exceptional Communication And Customer Service Skills, Plus Demonstrate Ability To Perform In A Team Environment With Excellent Interpersonal And Problem-solving Skills · Background And Experience With Audit Methodologies And Techniques · Knowledge Of GAAP Guidelines · Excellent Analytical And Decision-based Thinking · Proficient In Microsoft Office Suite SALARY: $60,000 Annually
