THE TOWN OF KENLY, A GROWING RURAL TOWN IN JOHNSTON COUNTY, IS SEEKING A SKILLED, AMBITIOUS AND PERSONABLE INDIVIDUAL TO SERVE AS TOWN CLERK / ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES MANAGER. THIS POSITION PERFORMS HIGHLY RESPONSIBLE PRIMARY MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTIONS AND CLERICAL SUPPORT FOR THE TOWN MANAGER AND TOWN COUNCIL. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE PERFORMING A VARIETY OF ADMINISTRATIVE, FISCAL AND SPECIALIZED WORK, OFTEN OF A CONFIDENTIAL OR SENSITIVE NATURE, UNDER THE DIRECTION OF THE TOWN MANAGER INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, TASKS RELATED TO ADMINISTRATION, FINANCE AND BUDGETING, HUMAN RESOURCES AND SPECIAL PROJECTS. THIS POSITION REQUIRES A MINIMUM OF A BACHELOR’S DEGREE AND AT LEAST 3 YEARS OF CONSIDERABLE EXPERIENCE IN A MUNICIPAL CLERK OR SIMILAR ROLE. MUST BE PROFICIENT IN MICROSOFT WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK AND COMPETENT IN LOGICS (OR SIMILAR FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT PLATFORM). MUST BE ABLE TO FOLLOW WRITTEN AND ORAL INSTRUCTIONS, DEAL EFFECTIVELY WITH THE PUBLIC, AND HAVE EXCELLENT TIME MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND PROBLEM-SOLVING SKILLS. SALARY RANGE IS DEPENDENT UPON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS.
