ROBBINS IS A BEAUTIFUL SMALL-TOWN COMMUNITY IN NORTHERN MOORE COUNTY WITH A RICH HISTORY AND A PROMISING FUTURE. ROBBINS HAS A POPULATION OF JUST UNDER 1,200 PEOPLE AND A COMBINED OPERATING BUDGET OF APPROXIMATELY $2 MILLION DOLLARS. ROBBINS OPERATES UNDER A COUNCIL-MANAGER FORM OF GOVERNMENT. ROBBINS IS SEEKING A CHIEF OF POLICE TO LEAD A SMALL DEPARTMENT (5 OFFICERS TOTAL) WITH A COMMITMENT TO PROVIDING QUALITY SERVICE TO TOWN RESIDENTS. REPORTING TO THE TOWN MANAGER, THE POLICE CHIEF IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PLANNING, DIRECTING, IMPLEMENTING, AND EVALUATING THE ACTIVITIES OF THE POLICE DEPARTMENT. AS CHIEF, SHIFT WORK WOULD LIKELY BE REQUIRED. QUALIFICATIONS: PREFER A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN CRIMINAL JUSTICE, PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION OR OTHER RELEVANT FIELD AND PREVIOUS ADMINISTRATIVE OR SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED; OR ANY EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE THAT PROVIDES THE REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES OF A LAW ENFORCEMENT EXECUTIVE.
