THE TOWN OF HUNTERSVILLE IS LOOKING TO FILL AN ASSISTANT TO THE TOWN MANAGER POSITION. THIS POSITION PROVIDES A VARIETY OF MANAGEMENT, ADMINISTRATIVE AND ANALYTICAL SUPPORT TO THE TOWN MANAGER AND ASSISTANT TOWN MANAGER, INCLUDING COORDINATION OF MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION EFFORTS. THIS WORK INCLUDES DEVELOPMENT OF RESEARCH, ANALYSIS AND PROJECT MANAGEMENT FOR THE MANAGERS ON TOWN WIDE PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES; PREPARATION OF PROFESSIONAL REPORTS, PRESENTATIONS AND OTHER MATERIALS FOR INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL COMMUNICATIONS; COORDINATION OF TOWN WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA; COORDINATION OF CIVIC ENGAGEMENT PROGRAM; AND OTHER RELATED DUTIES. CANDIDATES INTERESTED IN THE POSITION MUST EXHIBIT A HIGH PROFICIENCY IN WRITTEN AND ORAL COMMUNICATIONS; THOROUGH KNOWLEDGE OF MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OPERATIONS; AND, GENERAL KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY TO USE CURRENT TECHNOLOGIES. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION, PUBLIC RELATIONS, OR RELATED FIELD AND AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF GOVERNMENT EXPERIENCE. A MASTER’S DEGREE IS PREFERRED.
