THE TOWN OF LUCAMA (POP. 1150) IS SEEKING RESUMES FROM QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WITH PROVEN ADMINISTRATIVE ABILITY AND MUNICIPAL MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE FOR THE POSITION OF TOWN ADMINISTRATOR. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE DAY TO DAY OPERATIONS OF TOWN GOVERNMENT, ZONING OVERSIGHT, AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT. POSITION REPORTS TO A MAYOR AND FIVE COMMISSIONERS. THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE A RECORD OF SOLID MANAGEMENT AND PLANNING EXPERIENCE, WITH PROVEN SKILLS IN COORDINATING ADMINISTRATION OF MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT INCLUDING STREETS, WATER DISTRIBUTION, SEWER COLLECTION, WASTE WATER TREATMENT FACILITY, PARKS & RECREATION, FINANCE/BUDGETING, AND GRANT WRITING/MANAGEMENT. THE CANDIDATE SHOULD POSSESS STRONG PLANNING AND DECISION-MAKING ABILITY, OUTSTANDING COMMUNICATION SKILLS WITH A PROVEN RECORD OF GOOD WORKING RELATIONSHIPS WITH MAYOR, COUNCIL, EMPLOYEES, CITIZENS AND OFFICIALS OF OTHER LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION IS A BACHELOR’S DEGREE IN PUBLIC OR BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION OR RELATED FIELD. MASTER’S DEGREE PREFERRED. 5 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AS TOWN MANAGER/ADMINISTRATOR IS PREFERRED. COMPENSATION INCLUDING BENEFITS IS COMMENSURATE WITH EXPERIENCE AND DETERMINED BY TOWN BOARD.
