The League RMS EAP Grant Programs provide funding to support participants in the MIT Health Benefits Trust insurance program in the development or enhancement of worksite employee assistance programs. Workplace EAP programs help employees and their families to stay healthy. This result in cost savings, reduction in workplace absenteeism, increased productivity and heightened worker morale.
An EAP provides FREE, confidential, short-term counseling to troubled employees and their family members experiencing personal difficulties. It is also a great resource for supervisors to talk to trained consultants to help advise them in dealing most effectively with employee job performance issues. EAP's improve employee lives and saves employers' money by addressing personal problems showing up on the job.
Funding is limited and is available on a first-respond, first-approved basis. Payment is based on the number of full time employees covered by the medical or workers' compensation insurance programs.
