Workers’ Compensation Audits

All physical audits are completed by RMS staff. No independent audit vendors are used for this service. All workers' compensation members are audited each year with approximately one-third of all members receiving an on-site physical audit.

Certificates of Insurance

RMS staff endeavors to complete all requests for certificates of insurance within 24 hours of receipt. Exceptions exist where requests are submitted late on Fridays or more information from certificate holder is required.

Risk Management Consultation

General or specific workers' compensation questions are frequently answered by workers' compensation staff regarding topics such as: employee vs. contractor, firefighter coverage eligibility, volunteers, workers' compensation claims exposure from specific operations, umpires/referees and suggested insurance requirements for contractors.

Claim Reviews

Workers' compensation staff is available to review claims information to determine reasons for experience modifier increases or to identify trends in claim frequency or severity.
