Description

Town Clerk - Summerfield. Serves as a direct link between the community & its government & performs critical administrative work along with assisting the Manager, Council/Mayor, & staff. Core statutory duties are to: notice official meetings; create minutes of Council meetings; serve as the custodian of all town records; & perform other duties required by law or Council. Other responsibilities include: notice all meetings & hearings; process ordinances, policies, contracts, agenda packets, rosters, & other directives important to operations; process FOIA requests; attend evening meetings; update website content; serve as the primary point of contact with town hall visitors & callers; & perform support tasks to help the town function efficiently. Preferred requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, or related field; Clerks Certification Institute (CCI) certification; three years experience in municipal administration & office management with care of public records; NC Notary Public certification; & valid state driver’s license.
