Salisbury - Project SAFE Rowan Community Resource Specialist - Join Team Salisbury as a Project SAFE Rowan Community Resource Specialist. We are seeking a motivated and self-driven individual who will perform difficult skilled administrative work securing community resources for former violent crime offenders. The main duties for this position include but are not limited to coordinates and schedules meetings, event and notifications; coordinates with service providers to solicit support and commitment to facilitate referrals; collects and reports statistical information related to the project initiatives, follows case status and monitors case progression timelines; confers with and assesses clients to identify needs and tracks progress; serves as a liaison to the District Attorney, US attorney and program resources, including Rowan County law enforcement agencies; refers clients to appropriate agencies for needed services; prepares and makes presentations at prisons, schools and community events; supervises, trains and advises volunteers; maintains accurate database of referrals and placement secured; and serves as support personnel to the Project SAFE Neighborhood Community Intervention Team. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree with coursework in human services, or related field and at least 5 years of experience in a community, public or government program administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid NC Driver’s License and submit to a police background investigation. Thorough knowledge of citizen services, community outreach programs, and counseling and social service practices. Ability to establish effective working relationships with associates, social service providers, community organizations, clients, law enforcement personnel and the general public.
