About this redesign

The purpose of the League's website is designed to provide useful information to N.C. municipal officials about the League, its activities and services, events and training of interest to elected and appointed municipal officials and information on municipal issues (or links to information).

We have tried to move all information and documents from the old site to this new one, if still relevant.

The basic organization of the materials is a bit different.

The bars on the left side of the home page include groupings of major information: Legal and Legislative; Insurance; About Cities and Towns; About the League; Services for Members; and 2008 Annual Conference. When you click on any one of these you will go to another page with more topics and choices.

Most of the services that the League provides to members, except for insurance and legal & legislative can be found under Services for Members. Click on the Services for Members bar for information about services such as research, survey results, recent informational memos, cost saving programs, publications, contract services inquiries, emergency management and more.

The About Cities and Towns page is where you can find listings of N.C. cities and towns and links to their websites.Below the bars on the left side are frequently used areas of the website, such as "job ads," the calendar, a link to the N.C. General Assembly and other features.

Click on the words and you will go to a screen with information on the subject area or to a link.

The remaining portion of the home page is devoted to major issues, hot topics or headlines, and these will change as needed. If you cannot find information you previously accessed on our website, click on the subject bars on the left side of the page. If you don't find it there, email mlail@nclm.org.
