 RMS rates released

The League’s Risk Management Services Board of Trustees has approved health insurance rates for 2010-2011. An unusually high year for medical claims has resulted in average rate plan increases of 17 percent.

“We always tout our long-term stability,” said Bob Haynes, the League’s associate director for risk management and member services.

Haynes stressed that a look at the five-year average (from 2006-07 to  2010-11) shows an increase of just 6.8 percent – well under the industry trend.
