Broadband Bill Removed from Committee Agenda

May 26, 2010

Senate Bill 1209 (No Nonvoted Local Debt For Competing System) was removed from the Senate Finance Committee agenda today to allow for time for more discussion about how to address the needs of cities and towns working to serve their citizens and businesses with high-speed broadband.

This issue has certainly not gone away and the threat to existing and future municipal broadband systems remain. Please continue to share your needs or potential future needs with your legislators.
