Wellness and EAP Grant Programs
The League RMS Wellness and EAP Grant Programs provide funding to support participants in the MIT health or NCIRMA workers' compensation insurance programs in the development or enhance-ment of worksite wellness and employee assistance programs. Workplace wellness programs help employees and their families to stay healthy. This results in cost savings, reduction in workplace absenteeism, increased productivity and heightened worker morale.
Grant funding is also available to support workplace Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). An EAP provides FREE, confidential, short-term counseling to troubled employees and their family members experiencing personal difficulties. It is also a great resource for supervisors to talk to trained con-sultants to help advise them in dealing most effectively with employee job performance issues. EAP's improve employee lives and saves employers' money by addressing personal problems showing up on the job.
Funding is limited and is available on a first-respond, first-approved basis. Payment is based on the number of full time employees covered by the medical or workers' compensation insurance programs.
