Governing the League

A 27-member Board of Directors oversees the activities of the League and includes the following: president; two vice presidents; the immediate past president; 12 directors representing League geographic districts; three at-large directors who must be elected officials; three managers or chief administrators; representatives of the clerks' association and the municipal attorneys' association and two other representatives of NCLM affiliate organizations. The NCLM executive committee includes the president, three vice presidents and the immediate past president.

The Board of Directors adopts the League's budget, oversees the work of the League's professional staff and sets League legislative policy in between annual meetings of the membership.
